This year’s tours have concluded. The Mansion will reopen for group tours in January 2023.
Group tours will be offered on the days and times below:
Tuesdays from 10:00 – 11:00AM
Thursdays from 10:00 – 11:00AM
Tours are led by our docents who have volunteers at the Governor’s Mansion for years. The tour will last approximately 45 minutes to one hour long and will include the mansion gardens, if the weather permits. Due to recent security policy changes, all guests over the age of 18 will be required to send their driver’s license to be vetted before approval to enter the mansion. More information on this will be provided when a tour is being confirmed. *Please note that your belongings will be checked by security upon entering the Governor’s Mansion. No backpacks or over-sized bags are allowed inside.

Tours must be scheduled in advance. As a working part of the state’s governmental operations, the mansion is frequently used for state business which means dates and times may be limited, but we seek to make the home as accessible as possible. In case of conflicts, Louisiana residents are given priority access.
